Ikea Wishlist!

I'm starting university in September but plan on living at home, and I think that's a great reason to re decorate my bedroom and get some nice new furniture! I have been planning on doing it for a while, so I'm really looking forward to getting it done :) Ikea is amazing. Just to put that out there, I could spend hours, and I mean hours, looking at every single thing. So, that was the first place I started looking when I knew I could re decorate. Luckily I only recently got a new double bed and a cube unit for storage, so I only need a few things! I already have a shopping list on the actual website, but I love finding new things to add to it so I thought I'd write a wish list :)

I love all things vintage, and things that look like they could be vintage, and I think this clock is perfect for portraying that kind of feel!

I think these artificial flowers in the above vase would look so cute for Spring! I'd love to have real plants in my room but I think I may end up killing them :( When the weather gets a bit warmer I'll think about getting some real ones but for now, I think these flowers are gorgeous!

This bedding is so beautiful! I love all things floral and for £12 this set is amazing. The only trouble is I'm thinking of getting a feature wall so I'm not sure what kind of wallpaper to get or whether it would match the bedding?! Although, at the price it is, I might just get it anyway!

Next up are these decorative pebbles. I've read on a few blogs that to keep your make up brushes stable, you can pop some of these pebbles into your container and it will enable the brushes to stand up on their own and keeps them straight and stable! Great idea!

Currently I have a three-drawer bedside table with my underwear and tights etc in two of the drawers, and the top one if full of bits and bobs that probably needs sorting out... Anyway, I recently bought a cube unit from Ikea with two linen storage baskets so I don't need to keep my underwear etc in the bedside unit anymore, and the rest of the junk can be sorted out properly. After that huge explanation, I chose the above table because I think it's so cute and would fit in really well in my room with my lamp and favourite photo frames on top of it (and the alarm clock I'm planning on buying!)

I LOVE candles! I was thinking of maybe taking some pictures of some of my favourite areas in my bedroom and if you could see the top of my cube unit... candles, candles, candles (and a fish tank). This is scented and I think costs around 75p! You just can't say no.

I'm in desperate need of a dressing table, and I can't decide which! The one on the left is a normal desk with an attachment from the same series of furniture on the top. I think this is great because there's a lot of storage opportunities  and next to the shelves on the left is a magnetic space. This would be ideal to keep all of my notes and pictures up, and they would be easy to move around whenever I fancied a change. The shelf on the top would also hold all my favourite books and maybe some more candles! It would also double us as a desk, which is what it is actually supposed to be, so that would be ideal for when I need to do some work! On the right is the Malm dressing table, which I know a lot of you bloggers love! This dressing table looks so gorgeous and sleek, and would make my room look a lot more grown up than the other desk. Unfortunately, there is only one drawer so I'm not too sure if that is enough storage space. I'm planning to go to Ikea soon to have a look at them both in person, so that might change my opinion! Which do you guys prefer? :)

Last but not least is this gorgeous "antiquey" looking mirror. I think it would look great on either the desk or dressing table and the black would go brilliantly with the white in my bedroom.

Is there any thing you guys think I should add? Thanks for reading everyone :)

  4. I have an old desk as my dresser atm - mainly because i'm tight and don't ever get around to buying a proper girlie one. But i'm actually surprised at how much I like having that extra shelf space on the top - I have little ornaments and photo frames up there. Love the idea of the magnetic back and being able to put pictures there!

    1. I agree! I think having storage space makes it easier, saves you having to buy extra units and taking up more space in your room! I love the magnetic back too! I'm off to Ikea today to see if there's anything else I could add before I actually go shopping :) Thanks so much for reading :) xx
