So a couple of weeks ago I made a pretty exciting announcement on here - this year I'm working with Costa Coffee on their Costa Book Awards*! I'm going to be reviewing each of the books in the Children's category over the next month or so, and bringing you all of the news, updates and winner information. If you want to find out more about the Costa Book Awards and read the shortlist, check out my post here. Today I'm going to be reviewing the first book in the Children's Category which is Wed Wabbit by Lissa Evans. Out of the four books shortlisted, I had thought that this would be the most ... The Costa Book Awards Shortlist & an Exciting Announcement
If you're a book lover in the UK (or maybe not in the UK!) then you've probably heard of the Costa Book Awards. Over more than four and a half decades, the Costa Book Awards have become one of the UK's most prestigious book prizes, second only to the ManBooker Prize, having featured such prestigious authors such as Philip Pullman. Review: Obsessed With Marvel Quiz Book
With having a dad who is obsessed with comic books and action films (I'm talking a collection of 1000+ comics taking up residency in our loft), I've grown up loving them too. After finishing this, I vowed to read the rest of Holly's work, but the second and third books in the Spinster Club series are still sat on my bookcase... I will rectify this ... Read the Post...
Review: Warcross by Marie Lu
There has been a lot of hype on social media, YouTube and the blogosphere about this book recently, and while gaming isn't really my thing, Warcross by Marie Lu sounded super exciting. So, when Penguin offered to send me a copy, I very gratefully said yes please! I picked up this book on a quiet Friday night in (my fave kind of night) and was completely immersed into the world of Warcross, and by Sunday morning I'd finished. I was so pleasantly surprised by this book and just had to write my review straight away, so keep reading to hear my thoughts - it's all spoiler free! From the ... Read the Post...
