With having a dad who is obsessed with comic books and action films (I’m talking a collection of 1000+ comics taking up residency in our loft), I’ve grown up loving them too. When I saw that Titan had published the Obsessed With Marvel Quiz Book* I knew it’d be perfect for me and my family, especially as we draw closer to the festive season – we love a good Christmas quiz.

As soon as I got my hands on the book, I couldn’t help but have a quick flick through – promise I didn’t look at any of the answers though! The inside is filled with gorgeous illustrations of our favourite Marvel heroes, and the book is split into nine chapters: Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, The Avengers, X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, Marvel Knights, Horror Heroes, Cosmic Characters and Marvel Time. I love that it’s split into sections as although I do love Marvel, there are definitely characters and series that I prefer.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that this is a typical, super easy quiz filled with questions like “Finish the Marvel hero name: Captain…”. Oh no, there is a huge range of questions included, some that even my huge fan-boy Dad had to think about for a little while! Here’s a couple:

  1. What is Peter Parker’s middle name? Steven, John, Benjamin or Joseph?
  2. Who is Odin’s wife? Sigyn, Frigga, Freya or Gaea?
  3. How many issues did the original Hulk series run? Ten, twelve, six or five?

Obsessed With Marvel will test even the most dedicated of Marvel fans, and is the perfect gift for any Stan Lee lovers. With over 2,500 questions, and over 300 from the past decade’s comics, it’s sure to keep them quiet for a good while! You can get your hands on a copy here.

*A copy of the book was provided to me in exchange for an honest review by Titan Books
