I always find packing your new bag for your new academic year a little exciting, is that sad? Hope not. Anyway, I haven’t done a “What’s in my bag post?” in a while now, and I thought that the start of my second year of university would be a good time to upload my second edition.
First up, the basic essentials that every person carries in their bag. My purse was only £2 from Primark that I showed in a Primark haul here, and though I only bought it as a temporary replacement for the breaking purse I had at the time, it’s actually turned out to be pretty good! Since having my eyes tested again and discovering that my eyesight had changed considerably, my glasses have become my new best friend and I carry them everywhere. For lectures, tutorials and all the work I’ll have to do at home, my glasses will be so important! With my first student maintence loan I decided to invest in an iPad and it’s honestly one of the best things I’ve ever bought. I take it to university with me to scroll through PowerPoints along with the lecturer and to read and watch videos on during my breaks. My A4 project notebook is probably the most important thing I carry with me to university; without it, I’d have no notes to work from! Though I occasionally use my iPad, I prefer to handwrite lecture notes so that I can colour code and draw diagrams etc more easily. Mine is from Tesco, and you can read about that along with my other essential supplies for going back into education here. I also carry a USB stick in my pencil case, to keep all the little essentials together. Then there are the “beauty bits” as you may call them. I always carry deodarant to keep me feeling fresh, along with hand sanitiser and hang cream. The Nivea lip balm is a must for the colder months when my lips tend to get a little drier.
Now for the exciting part: the Personal Planner*. I love a good diary. It helps you to stay organised, to keep you on track of what you have coming up, and also to keep important notes and numbers in. Personal Planner allow you to do exactly as their name states: create a planner personalised by you. You can choose the size, shape, cover picture, the layout of the inside pages, the colour of the book and much more. My favourite thing about the Personal Planner is that you can choose little features to add to your pages, like a to do list, graph paper or just plain lined paper. Even your gym schedule! I love mine and have already began using it to stay on top of my blog and my modules in university. As I’m about to start my second year along with trying to secure a work placement for next year, I’m going to need to be super organised so this diary is essential for me! Personal Planner have given me the opportunity to give one of you lucky lot the chance to create a personalised planner for yourself, Yay! The only mandatory options of entering are to follow me on Bloglovin’ and Twitter, and to follow Personal Planner on Twitter and Facebook. The others are optional and you can enter through the Rafflecopter form below. Good luck.
