On Monday I was really excited to attend the Preloved Vintage Fair at the Night and Day cafe in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Preloved is an online market place for all vintage and secondhand goods alike, be sure to check it out! I hadn’t been to anything like this before and so I was really looking forward to see what it would be like. Before the event I met up with one of my lovely blogging friends Megan, from Aurora Dust, and had some food and a catch up over Nandos (yum)!
As we entered the venue we were handed a lovely goodie bag and offered some champagne which was a really nice touch. Megan and I made our way around the various stalls that the Vintage Fair had to offer. Oxfam were selling some really cool vintage pieces, there were some delicious jams and spreads from Love Spreads, which I just had to buy (the Peach and Lemon compote is my favourite), collectable items, records and a hair and makeup artist on hand offering vintage makeovers. I had my hair done and absolutely loved it! Please excuse the dodgy picture of me, iPhone front cameras are atrocious! Anyway, back to the event. Preloved also had a DJ at the event who was playing some songs from a few decades ago which really helped pull everything together and really make you feel like you had stepped back in time.
This event was something a little different to anything I have been to before but I had a great time. I’m a huge fan of history and things from the past, so I really enjoyed myself. Be sure to check out Preloved’s website and their Facebook for pictures from the event and more information on what they do.
