BEAUTY: TANYA BURR LIPGLOSS PICNIC IN THE PARK

Ok so I am very late to this party, but lipglosses generally aren’t my thing so I was in no rush to buy these when they were first released. When I saw Tanya Burr’s lipglosses on offer on Feel Unique I decided that I may as well try one out.

I chose Picnic in the Park, a light glossy pink. I don’t usually go for pinks in terms of lip colour but after looking at swatches online and other reviews, I decided that this one was probably one I’d get more wear out of.

On first impression, I didn’t love it, but after wearing it for a little while it grew on me. For want of a better phrase that hasn’t been completely overused, this gloss looks “like your lips but better”. It’s pale enough that it adds a splash of colour to your lips but doesn’t overpower the rest of your makeup. Perfect for those Spring and Summer neutral kind of days!

It also smells really nice, like sweets. Not synthetic or ‘plasticy’ like you get with some high street glosses which is definitely an added bonus if you ask me. I didn’t find the gloss to be too tacky or sticky either, like others that I’ve tried. Tanya Burr’s lipglosses are actually quite moisturising which I really like. You can apply them without a mirror if you’re short on time, or build up the colour with lipstick if you want to wear a bit of a bolder, glossier lip. Have you tried any of the Tanya Burr lipglosses?
