I love that time each month when I finally get my hands on the latest FairyLoot box and can basically tear through it all (with great care of course)! The Oh So Regal December box shipped early which was very exciting and so I wanted to wait a little while to post my unboxing in case it took a little longer to reach everyone with the Christmas and New Year delays.
FairyLoot is a “fantasy focused monthly subscription box containing a Young Adult book and some hand selected bookish goodies” as described on their website. You can commit to six or twelve month subscriptions or if you’re fast enough, you can get your hands on their single purchase boxes!
I’ll start with this month’s book which I’ve been hearing so much about within the book community, and actually have a couple of different ARCs of myself thank you to YALC and the amazing blogger events at my local Waterstones. To receive a final copy in hardback is fab, especially as it isn’t technically released until January, and I can’t wait to delve in. In Everless by Sara Holland, blood is used as currency but during one girl’s journey into the Gerling’s estate Everless, she soon realises that things are not as they seem and her actions may change time itself. I just know I’m going to love this!
Included in this month’s box was the Exclusive Virtuous & Fair Zip Pouch designed by Miss Phi which features a quote from No Fear by William Shakespeare. While I confess to never having read the play, a pouch for pens, make up brushes and other bits and bobs is never a bad thing.
Next up is this super cute “Books Rule” key ring by Fiction Tea Designs. I actually met Lauren of Fiction Tea at YALC earlier this year and we chat on Twitter now and then too, so whenever I see one of her items in FairyLoot I’m always so happy! This is going to be the perfect addition to my collection of key rings that make my car keys look a little cooler.
We were also treated to an Exclusive Powerful Notebook by Stella’s Bookish Art which features a quote from Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I only recently started this series (I know I know, I’m so behind) but I’m already enjoying it and love making notes so this is perfect!
FairyLoot sent our four variations of the A Court of Candles Exclusive Prince Candles and I got my hands on Prince Charming. With scents of verbena and patchouli it has a really refreshing fragrance and smells a little like the Lush store which is always a win in my eyes.
Excitingly, a full size Funko! Pop of a Disney Prince or Princess was featured in the December box, with six different possibilities as to what you would receive. I got Simba and he’s so cute (albeit a little out of focus above) but you could also receive Rapunzel, Pocahontas, Ariel, Jasmine or Tiana. I would have loved a Pocahontas Funko but I do love my little lion.
Just like every month, there were a couple of extras thrown in too, such as a a War Storm by Victoria Aveyard bookmark and a Rosemarked sampler. I am in awe of how much thought and effort goes into each box every month and so I finally subscribed instead of going through the monthly panic of single purchase. If you’re thinking about it, do it. You won’t be disappointed!
