May Wildest Dreams Book Box Unboxing: Female Voices

Last week I came home from work to find a little letter from Royal Mail letting me know that they’d delivered a parcel of mine to a neighbours. They very kindly brought it round for me later that evening, and it was the latest Wildest Dreams Book Box! This was a really lovely surprise to come home to as I’d completely lost track of time this month and wasn’t expecting it to arrive. I was very luckily chosen to be a rep from the Wildest Dreams Book Box, and so a huge thanks to Wildest Dreams for sending me this box and keep an eye out for my discount code further down!

So, what exactly is the Wildest Dreams Book Box? It’s a monthly YA subscription box packed with a new YA release, tea and other goodies relating to a particular theme for less than £20! Keep reading to see what was inside this month’s box and look out for my discount code at the end!

Just like every month we received an awesome tea product. This month, it was the Reset Yourself Chamomile and Lemongrass Tea by Rosie Lea Tea, chosen by author of awesome feminist books Holly Bourne. This even came with some easy to use teabags which, for someone who usually just drinks standard breakfast tea, is really appreciated!

Next up, the bath product. I was so excited to see this as it was inspired by one of my favourite book series: The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon which features a kickass female heroine. The Rogue Dial soap by the Glasgow Soap Company is handmade, with scents of dusky sloe and almond. With gold, blue and red colouring, it almost looks to pretty to use!

Finally we have this month’s book, I Stop Somewhere by T.E Carter. After reading the blurb, it sounds like an extremely powerful book that will no doubt need to be accompanied by trigger warnings for assault, rape and domestic abuse and while “excited” is definitely not the word I want to use due to the sensitive topics, I’m definitely going to bump this up my TBR.

“Ellie Frias disappeared long before she vanished.

Tormented throughout middle school, Ellie begins her freshman year with a new look: she doesn’t need to be popular; she just needs to blend in with the wallpaper.

But when the unthinkable happens, Ellie finds herself trapped after a brutal assault. She wasn’t the first victim, and now she watches it happen again and again. She tries to hold on to her happier memories in order to get past the cold days, waiting for someone to find her.

The problem is, no one searches for a girl they never noticed in the first place.”

We were also treated to some bookish swag too, in the form of a signed bookplate, an exclusive letter from T.E Carter for Wildest Dreams subscribers and some bookmarks. Yay! I always look forward to receiving my Wildest Dreams Book Box each month, particularly because a different genre is featured each month which means there is always something for everyone. The products are always super useful too, and each time you can really feel how much effort and care has been put into the box.
