June Wildest Dreams Book Box Unboxing: Love, YA

Last week I came home from work to a lovely delivery from the Wildest Dreams Book Box, which I always look forward to! I unwrapped it as quickly as I could and dove onto Instagram to film an unboxing. I was very luckily chosen to be a rep from the Wildest Dreams Book Box, and so a huge thanks to Wildest Dreams for sending me this box.

So, what exactly is the Wildest Dreams Book Box? It’s a monthly YA subscription box packed with a new YA release, tea and other goodies relating to a particular theme for less than £20. Keep reading to see what was inside this month’s box – spoilers ahead of course!

Possibly my favourite item in this box (aside from the book of course) is this postcard designed by Lia. Growing up, I had very few “fat” role models in books, and even those characters who spoke about their weight never really seemed to be that fat at all. I love this quote from Leah and am so happy to see this representation. Now we just need more representation of gender, sexuality, ability and nationality in YA, just to name a few!

Next we have the vanilla cupcake scented Meet Cute candle by Taken Moons, which smells absolutely delicious! Inspired by What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera, I can’t wait to burn it.

Earlier this year, I saw read Love, Simon and saw it at the cinema and absolutely loved it. So, when I saw the Why Is Straight the Default tea by Rosie Lea Tea included in the box I was so happy! Inspired by Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli, the flavour is Rich Chocolate which I’m super intrigued by. As always we received a couple of tea bags for the loose tea leaves which is so handy, and just look at that label!

So I’m pretty sure you know by now that this month’s book is Leah On the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli, the follow on novel to Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (which you already know I love). As soon as I saw the tea, and remembered the name of the box, I was sure as to what the book would be, and I was right! I’m so excited to read this and can’t wait to pick it up.
