I’m back with another tag! It’s actually been a while since my last one so I thought it was about time I brought it back. This is The Guilty Reader which was originally posted on YouTube by Chami. Obviously this isn’t in video format but I hope you enjoy it all the same!

Have you ever re-gifted a book that you’ve been given?

I’ve definitely given some books to charity in the past and I’m sure at least a couple of those were gifts that I never got around to reading, but I’ve never physically wrapped up and “re-gifted” one as a present!

Have you ever said you’ve read a book when you haven’t?

You know, I probably have done this to make myself seem smarter or cooler when I was younger (sadly…)

Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?

I remember that I got a late charge at the library once and I was so nervous about going to hand the book back in. I just totally forgot about it!

Have you ever read a series out of order?

Hmm this is a tricky one. I can’t remember specifically doing this.

Have you ever spoiled a book for someone?

Unfortunately, yes. However all of the occasions I can think of I have asked permission beforehand to do so, and it’s usually been with my sister. If I have ever spoiled a book without permission then this would have been a total accident and I apologise!

Have you ever dogeared a book?

Yep I’m sure. When I was younger I definitely did care as much as I do nowadays.

Have you ever told someone you don’t own a book when you do?

The only time I *might* have done this was back in the day when an ‘acquaintance’ in school asked if I had a book they could borrow and I’d seen how they treated their books and I… panicked. I’M SORRY.

Have you ever told someone you haven’t read a book when you have?

Haha another one I probably did when younger with something like Fifty Shades of Grey! I’m so sad that I used to feel that I had to hide what books I was reading. Now I read whatever I feel like and I don’t care who knows!

Have you every skipped a chapter or a section of a book?

I definitely tend to skim read chapters or sections I’m feeling a little bored by, particularly in books with multiple narrators.

Have you ever bad mouthed a book you actually liked?

Not as far as I can remember… I will admit faults with books that I love (hey Sarah J. Maas books I truly do love you but you are definitely problematic in parts) but I wouldn’t actively bad mouth them.
