Today I’m taking part a brand new original tag created by Bec and Angharad of Two Book Thieves, and that’s the Animal Crossing New Horizons book tag! I love taking part in tags, and given how we’ve all kind of fallen in love with the game lately this came at the perfect time. Before we crack on with the post, let me me just apologise for how predictable 99.9% of my answers are…

Past Villager – Who is a character you found when you were younger that still has a place in your heart?
I was introduced to the Confessions of Georgia Nicolson books when I was twelve or thirteen through my local library club, and fell in love instantly. Me and my friend devoured them and they meant so much to me at the time. I still have such fond memories and will always treasure that!
Blather’s Blatherings – Recommend a historical fiction book that you think everybody should read
Wow so I am being exposed here… I have absolutely nothing coming to mind. I’m not really a reader of historical fiction but will gladly take recommendations.
Celeste’s Wish – What is a future book release you wish you could read now?
Obviously I can’t wait for the next instalment in the ACOTAR universe but considering we don’t really have much info on that, I’ll pick something being released this year. That has to be The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab (same as Bec)!
Timmy & Tommy – What is your favourite sibling relationship in a book?
It has to be the Weasley’s doesn’t it?! The entire family are just everything.
The Easter Bunny – A popular book character that you’re not a big fan of
Oooooh controversial! I think for me it would be Alice from The Hazel Wood or Liesl from the Wintersong duology, but particularly her portrayal in Shadowsong. Looking back I just didn’t click with the characters and I know they are well loved books within the community.
Nook’s Loans – An author you’d give all your money to
Sarah J. Maas of course but if I’m being honest it’s doesn’t seem she would need it… I also love Brigid Kemmerer’s work and am currently working my way through her backlist!
The Sisters Able – What is your favourite fictional family (found or otherwise)?
The Inner Circle from ACOTAR. The characters and their relationships are so well developed and almost tangible, and I would love to be a part of the gang.
It’s a C+ – What is a book trope you don’t like that keeps popping up?
The protagonist who comes from nowhere, is suddenly dropped into the action and right away is better than everyone at everything, knows all and has more power and authority than everybody else. Grr.
The Wandering Camel – What is your favourite book set in a land far away from yours?
I don’t know exactly where it is, but I’m guessing that Weep from the Strange the Dreamer duology is pretty far away…
What Would Dodos Do? – A fictional land you wish you could fly away to at any moment?
Prythian… but I wouldn’t last very long!
So there we have the Animal Crossing New Horizons Book Tag! I love how unique this tag is, and how well the team have utilised the characters to create interesting questions. I tag:
Ooooh I love this!!!! AC is love, AC is life!
We need to play together!!!
I love this tag! Also Animal Crossing is the best!
really enjoyed your answers, id like to think someone would help you survive on prythian!!
Omg so cute! I am so sad that I don’t have Animal Crossing, so I cant play with everyone. But I love seeing how much jot it brings everyone and I love that there is a book tag for it!
I don’t play Animal Crossing but I def love the ACOTAR series, so I def get you there haha!
Oooh excellent tag!
Historical, since you like fantasy, I’d recommend The Daughters of the Grail by Elizabeth Chadwick. It has a witch-y twist.
