Looking for a new romance to fall into? Keep reading for 5 reasons to read Wrapped Up In You by Talia Hibbert!
Talia is one of my favourite romance authors. Every book I’ve read from has just absolutely captured my heart, especially the Brown Sisters books. Wrapped Up In You was no different!
A Kobo exclusive novella, Wrapped Up In You was short and sweet but it didn’t lack heart. I practically devoured this book and once again, at no surprise, I fell head over heels for these characters. Not only were they super well developed at over 120 pages, which is testament to Talia’s talent, but they just felt so real. I would love to read more about this pair and even more about this family. Especially Abbie’s gran’s 27 cats.

5 reasons to read Wrapped Up In You by Talia Hibbert
Childhood friends to lovers with a side of brother’s best friend 😏
Arguably one of the best tropes, no? Will and Abbie have been best friends ever since they were young, growing up as next door neighbours. Aaaand they’ve basically been in love with each other ever since! Will is also basically part of Abbie’s family which adds an extra element of risk to expressing their feelings, because what if they were unrequited?! Also we have grumpy character v sunshine character which is EVEN BETTER.
YEARNING 🥺
Soooo much yearning. Gah. Yes the two characters may have feelings but they don’t know that the other has feelings, so they’re both pining for each other! Will is more a “heart on his sleeve” kind of guy, so his yearning is more overt, whereas Abbie is a little more cautious and guarded due to Will’s superstar status and her recent marriage which ended in divorce.
Diverse romance 👏🏻
We have a black main character and black side characters which is own voices rep, as well as anxiety rep and somewhat fat rep. I love that Talia’s books are always diverse reads with the inclusion of several types of representation. Will is also a himbo, which as the resident bimbo in my friendship group I enjoyed reading about.
A lovely Christmas read 🎄
This novella really just gave me all of the festive vibes. Lots of love and warmth, a loving family coming together, a trip to a busy supermarket to pick up some last minute bits, snow, A BLIZZARD THAT TRAPS THEM IN THE HOUSE and more. Perfect for snuggling up and reading under the Christmas tree lights.
Super British feels 💂🏻♀️
A lot of romance books are either written by American authors, set in America or both. There’s nothing wrong with that of course, but one of the things I enjoy so much about Talia’s books is that they’re so effortlessly British. It makes the humour even funnier to me and a lot of the situations more relatable.
Okay friends, and there we have my 5 reasons to read Wrapped up In You by Talia Hibbert! My only complaints are that I wish this book were longer and also I wouldn’t have been opposed to a liiiiittle more smut but that’s just me!
I love writing these kinds of posts. As much as I enjoy posting reviews, recommendations and “5 reasons” posts are always super fun to put together.
