Hello everyone it’s time for this week’s WWW Wednesday post. So I actually missed the last post… oops! I was super chuffed that I’d managed to keep up with these weekly instalments but there’s been a lot going on behind the scenes lately so I needed a little time off. Anyway, this week we’re back! I hope you’re all doing okay and keeping safe.
I love reading these kinds of posts on other blogs so I’ve finally decided to take part myself! A weekly meme created by A Daily Rhythm and now hosted by Taking on a World of Words, in WWW Wednesday you answer three questions about your week of reading.
So, what I have managed to read this week?

What are you currently reading?
At the moment I’m partway through the audiobook of Ghost Squad by Claribel A. Ortega. I’m really loving listening to audiobooks again after struggling to really get back into this in 2020, and this is the perfect pick. It’s a super engaging middle grade ghost story with strong family themes and a great sense of adventure! I know a few people who have read this and loved it so I’m excited to see where it goes.

What did you recently finish reading?
The last book I finished was actually another audiobook, which was Grown by Tiffany D. Jackson. Wow, this book. This is the story of 17 year old Enchanted Jones, an aspiring singer who soon becomes the subject of abuse from world famous music artist and 28 year old Korey Fields. I’m talking more about this book in tomorrow’s post, which is three diverse recommendations for kids and teens, but I would highly suggest you pick this up. Just make sure to read some more in depth reviews for trigger warnings such as sexual abuse, kidnapping, mental abuse, violence, death, drugging and more. Grown was a gripping, heartbreaking and important read and I’m so glad I listened to it.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m trying to be kinder to myself this month, by not creating a proper TBR. There are a few books I’m excited to read but I’ve no plans as such. I’m going to see where the mood takes me!

Thanks for reading the latest WWW Wednesday post! What have you been reading this week? I’d love to know.
