So it's been a looong time since I last wrote a wrap up. In fact, it's been a good few weeks since I've posted on here at all! Part of me does feel bad, but at the same time I do believe it's good to take a break if you feel like you need one, so I'm back feeling nice and refreshed (and having read some fab books). I managed to read a total of five books in March which I was really happy with, so keep on reading to see what I read and my thoughts! The first book that I read last month was Love, Simon (Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda) by Becky Albertalli. 17 year old Simon Spier is ... Read the Post...

Review: Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
As I am a member of the fab bloggers group at my local Waterstones in Manchester, I very luckily received a copy of Love, Simon (Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli) at the latest event, as Penguin had decided to work with us which is exciting! I had heard a lot of great things about Love, Simon and as the film was coming up, I already wanted to read it so being able to get my hands on it was awesome. Keep reading for my spoiler free review. From the cover: Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when ... Read the Post...
Review: The Truth and Lies of Ella Black by Emily Barr
As I've mentioned here before, I'm very luckily a part of the Waterstones Deansgate (TEENSgate) bloggers group which I have to say, is awesome. The team are always super supportive of us and arrange some really cool events where we can meet up, discuss our favourite books, participate in book swaps and leave with way too many books if that's even such a thing... Our last event was in partnership with Penguin who very kindly supplied up us with copies of The Truth and Lies of Ella Black by Emily Barr and Love, Simon (originally Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda) by Becky Albertalli. Today I'll ... Read the Post...
Review of It Only Happens in the Movies By Holly Bourne
Hi everyone, welcome to my review of It Only Happens in the Movies. I read Am I Normal Yet by Holly Bourne last year and immediately felt a deep connection with it, due to it featuring a main character with both anxiety and OCD, both of which I have been through myself. Reading this book actually relieved a lot of the stresses I had bottled up, mostly because there was somebody else "like me" in YA literature! After finishing this, I vowed to read the rest of Holly's work, but the second and third books in the Spinster Club series are still sat on my bookcase... I will rectify this ... Read the Post...
Review: Warcross by Marie Lu
There has been a lot of hype on social media, YouTube and the blogosphere about this book recently, and while gaming isn't really my thing, Warcross by Marie Lu sounded super exciting. So, when Penguin offered to send me a copy, I very gratefully said yes please! I picked up this book on a quiet Friday night in (my fave kind of night) and was completely immersed into the world of Warcross, and by Sunday morning I'd finished. I was so pleasantly surprised by this book and just had to write my review straight away, so keep reading to hear my thoughts - it's all spoiler free! From the ... Read the Post...
