It looks like April is going to be a busy reading month for me, if my haul is anything to go by. I've actually bought so many books in the past few weeks that I've had to split this haul in two, and it's only the 11th of April! Admittedly I did buy a couple of these books towards the end of March, but I'm going to include them in this anyway. I know that my recent book posts have been a little long so I'll try my best to keep this short and sweet. First is The Color Purple by Alice Walker, which is this month's choice for the book club at work and an award winning novel. Set in the deep ... Read the Post...

BOOKS: MARCH WRAP UP
If you hadn't noticed already, I read quite a few books this month. I started the year in a bit of a reading slump, but for the past month or so I've been reading and reading and reading. So get comfy and maybe grab a brew because here are all the books I finished in March, and don't worry, it'll be spoiler free! I'm part of the book club at work, and Wool by Hugh Howey was the choice for March. Wool is the story of a community of people that exist in an underground silo after an uprising in the past. With limited knowledge of the outside, what is there, what it looks like and even ... Read the Post...
WHAT I’M READING ON HOLIDAY
If you read my last post or have seen my excited tweets counting down the days, you'll know that I'm currently in Spain. I wanted to get a few travel related posts scheduled for while I am away, and so today's is going to be about what I'm reading on holiday. Reading a good book by the pool or at the beach while sipping a chilled Fanta Lemon is one of my absolute fave things to do. It makes me so relaxed and as I'm not a big fan of swimming, it helps pass the time while the other half is splashing around. Up until a couple of years ago my designated holiday book was always The Deathy Hallows, ... Read the Post...
The Book Review #2 – Warm Bodies
This Sunday's review is about Warm Bodies which was written by Isaac Marion. I'd seen the advert for the film a couple of times and really wanted to see it, but I picked the book up before making my way to the cinema. I find that I enjoy reading the books more than watching the films in some circumstances; I get more drawn into them and feel like a part of the story. The book was described as a "zombie romance" and that pretty much sums it up. The book is written in first person, and is narrated by a zombie who inhabits a post apocalyptic America. Throughout the ... Read the Post...
The Book Review #1 – Safe Haven
I love a good book, always have and I hope I always will. I used to find that when I was younger when kids would be out kicking balls at each other or climbing trees and falling over, that I'd much prefer to curl up with a book (I did get out when I was younger, just to let you know...) and sometimes, it's the same now. Sometimes there's nothing better than relaxing on the sofa or in bed with a good book, a cup of tea and some biscuits and I found myself doing this a lot over the two weeks I was off college. I'm always up for reading new genres or finding new brilliant authors, so I thought ... Read the Post...
