Hello friends and welcome to today’s post, my September 2020 TBR. I’ve really been enjoying thinking of TBRs lately, even if I didn’t quite stick to last month’s! I’m planning to carry on re-reading a favourite series, pick up a new author’s book and start a trilogy set in a world I’ve really been enjoying.

The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon*
I’m so excited to be continuing my re-read of this series this month. I finished The Pale Dreamer and The Bone Season last month and I am loving them so much more the second time around.

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare*
A couple of months ago I started making my way through Cassandra Clare’s books again, reading The Infernal Devices for the first time years after giving up on The Mortal Instruments.
It’s time now to start The Dark Artifices and I can’t wait to get stuck in, and finally be able to look at all of the fanart!

The Reckless Afterlife of Harriet Stoker*
Recently I got approved for an arc of Lauren James’ latest novel on NetGalley and I’m already hearing great things so I’m hoping I love it too. I did want to keep it for October, when I’m planning on devouring some spooky reads, but I just couldn’t wait.

Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall
I recently received a copy of this book as part of my Words and Kisses subscription (a romance sub box)! I’ve heard some great things from a few different people, and it’s being liked to Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston which I adored so I’ve got high hopes.

The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta*
I’ve been looking forward to picking this up ever since i got my hands on it a few months back; it seems to have garnered a lot of love in the community! The Black Flamingo is a powerful story told in verse about a mixed race gay teen coming to terms with his identity while at university.
On top of the above, I also didn’t get around to reading all of the books on last month’s TBR. So, one of them has made it’s way on to my reading list for September too, The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven, which is one of my pal Imi’s faves.
Thank you for reading my September 2020 TBR. I’d love to know what books you are planning on reading next month, or your thoughts on any of these if you have read them already!
